EATON PHVL Supercapacitors are high-reliability, high-power, ultra-high-capacitance energy storage devices utilizing Electric Double Layer Capacitor (EDLC) construction combined with proprietary materials and processes. These supercapacitors are two-cell supercapacitor packs for providing backup power or pulse power for battery-operated and electronic systems. These supercapacitors operate within a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C and offer a 0.47F to 5.0F capacitance range as well as 3.9V working voltage and 5V surge voltage. Typical applications include pulse power and water and gas meters.

I can’t think of any leaks that would be good. Leaky faucets are bad, anything that drips from your car is bad, and I’d hate to be on a submarine or space station if either of those had a leak. Your typical supercapacitor is pretty leaky, too, but EATON's PHVL supercapacitor packs offer low leakage and low self-discharge that can extend battery life or backup time by up to 20%.
The capacitors have a 3.9V working voltage and capacitance values up to 5F to provide high energy density. They feature ultra-low ESR, which provides high power density and high peak current capability. EATON's PHVL series is offered in the same size, capacitance, and configurations as EATON's PHV series, offering designers a drop-in low-leakage upgrade for extended battery life or backup times.
