EATON EPM DC-DC Converters
EATON Power Modules (EPM) DC-DC Converters have higher efficiency than popular linear regulators with standard DC-DC converters. The non-isolated EPM (EPM78Vx and EPM12Vx) comes with a single output configuration. These isolated EPMs consist of 5 families (EPM6-1V and 2V, EPM7-1V, EPM25-1V 15W and 30W, and EPM25-2V 40W and 60W) and have compact, through-hole SIP and SMT DOSA packages. The isolated EPM supports a wide input voltage range, lower power consumption, and high isolation voltages up to 4KV in single and dual output configurations. The EPM DC-DC converters offer short circuit protection to protect the module during overcurrent events, with a wide range of power ratings from 1W to 60W, and can operate within a temperature range from -40°C to +90°C. Typical applications include computing, telecom, data processing, and sensors.

As an engineer, if there is one thing I hate more than trying to find an unconnected trace or searching through thousands of components trying to find the right one, it's power supply design. Well, for those who want to avoid all of that mess, the range of EPM DC-DC Converters can be the perfect solution. These range of power converters come in two main types, isolating and non-isolating, and powering ratings from 1W to 60W. At the same time, these power converters can be used to replace existing switch mode and linear supplies while providing efficiencies of up to 96%, and some having the same pinout as the famous LM78xx range of linear regulators. The EPM DC-DC Converters also incorporate output short-circuit protection, which helps to eliminate the need for replacement during board failures, and the operating temperature range from -40°C to +90 °C makes these power converters ideal for all kinds of industries, including commercial and industrial.
