EATON ECSTA Automotive Grade Current Sense Transformers
EATON ECSTA Automotive Grade Current Sense Transformers are AEC-Q200 qualified, SMT packaged transformers that provide accurate sensing and measurement of current levels in power circuits. The ECSTA current sense transformers have a low DC resistance coil that can sense current levels and direction changes with negligible energy dissipation. These current sense transformers have a frequency range from 50kHz to 1MHz and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The ECSTA current sense transformers are ideal for various applications, including battery management systems, DC/DC converters, EV charging, feedback control, and wireless chargers.

I once felt a tingling sensation and thought that maybe I could start shooting webs and climbing walls. Turns out it was just current sensing with my finger. It tingled. Painfully. I should have used current sense transformers from Eaton. The ECST and automotive-grade ECSTA current sense transformers come in four variations of increasing current capabilities ranging from 7A to 15A, and all transformers offer extremely low DC resistances ranging from 0.35mΩ to 22mΩ. Additionally, multiple turn ratios are also provided, ranging from 20 to 1 to 200 to 1, to provide engineers with the optimal step-up/down needs. With a wide operating frequency range from 50kHz to 1MHz and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, these current sense transformers are greater for use in wireless chargers, EV charging systems, feedback control, and overload sensing.
