Bourns SM9180x BMS Planar Transformers

Bourns SM9180x Battery Management System (BMS) Planar Transformers are compatible with analog devices’ LTC6815 series, NXP’s MC33771C series, and TI’s model BQ79616. The planar technology of the AEC-Q200-compliant SM9180x transformers helps increase design flexibility and robustness. Transformers SM91801AL and SM91806AL have minimum creepage distances of 5mm and 8.2mm, respectively. The SM9180x BMS planar transformers feature an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C and a working voltage of up to 1000VDC. Typical applications include industrial energy storage systems, electrical vehicles, and railway and traffic systems.

Designed for battery management systems with planar technology for the LTC6815 and MC33771C series, and BQ79616 models, the signal transformer provides a category 2 overvoltage with a minimum clearance and creepage distance of 8.2mm in a 17 by 8.5mm package. The RoHS and IEC basic insulation compliant signal transformer has an operating temperature of negative 40°C to 125°Cand a 20 picofarad interwinding capacitance with a 50MΩ minimum insulation resistance.
