Bourns PF-K POWrFuse High-Power Fuses
Bourns PF-K Series POWrFuse High-Power Automotive Grade Fuses are designed to meet the ISO 8820 standard to protect high-voltage accessory circuits in electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles. These fuses are housed in a midget style package (10mm x 38mm) with bolt and PCB mounting options for Level 1/2 EV/HEV AC/DC inverter and Level 3 battery charging systems. The POWrFuse PF-K fuses are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free. The fuses operate from -55°C to +125°C temperature range. Typical applications include electrical energy storage, battery pack protection, battery charger, and EV/HEV.

As much as we all love the smell of smoldering circuits in the morning, a circuit that has caught fire is not exactly ideal. In such cases, the PF-K Series of fuses from Bourns is perfect for protecting the indelible chips used in modern electronics thanks to its 10kA interrupt rating, current ratings from 15A to 50A, and the rated voltage range of 275VAC and 500VDC.
The PF-K series comes in two form factors, a bolted design which is ideal for replacements, and a PCB mounting design that allows for direct soldering to a PCB. The fuse is ISO 8820-8 compliant and is rated for automotive use which makes it ideal for hybrid and full electric vehicles. Additionally, the maximum voltage drop of 200mV ensures minimal impact on protected circuitry, and the RoHS-compliant and halogen-free design allows for its use in most markets.
