Bourns Low Ohmic PTC Resettable Fuses MF-PSML Series

The Bourns Low Ohmic PTC Resettable Fuses MF-PSML Series has post trip resistance values as low as 25 mOhms and initial resistance values as low as 3 mOhms. Such low resistance values are also helping to boost the current carrying capability of these new devices. Using Model MF-PSML350-2, Bourns can now achieve a 3.5 A Ihold in an 0805 package.

The compact MF-PSML Series uses Bourns’ freeXpansion™ design which increases the performance of the resettable fuse over conventional designs, with higher hold currents, higher voltages, improved resistance stability and smaller footprints.

The Bourns MF-PSML series of low ohmic PTC resettable fuses have holding current ratings up to 3.5 amps in a low-profile 0805 package, perfect for mobile and other space-constrained applications. The high current is paired with an initial resistance as low as 3 milli-ohms, and post-trip resistance as low as 25 milli-ohms.

This is possible because the fuses use Bourns’ freeXpansion technology, which eliminates mechanical restrictions on the fuse as it expands and contracts. The result is smaller fuses that give you more stable performance and longer product life. Bourns’ MF-PSML fuses are rated for 6 volts and 50 amps max, and they’re ideal for protecting USB and HDMI ports, motherboards, smartphones, and other devices.
