Bourns PTVS15-SH Series High Current TVS Diodes
Bourns PTVS15-SH Series High Current TVS diodes are designed for high-power DC bus clamping applications. These diodes offer bidirectional protection with standoff voltage ratings of 58V and 76V. The diodes operate within a temperature range from -55°C to +125°C and handle surge currents up to 15kA with an 8/20µs waveform. These high-current diodes exhibit a surge current rating of 70% of their rated value at 150°C compared to 25°C. The PTVS series is RoHS compliant and meets IEC 61000-4-5 standards for the current surge.

For engineers who struggle with controlling transient voltage spikes, or just want to reduce the likelihood of a costly lawsuit, the PTVS15 range of diodes from Bourns provides standoff voltages between 58V and 76V with a peak pulse current of up to 15kA.
The range of TVS diodes also offers bidirectional protection which helps to eliminate additional components, and the PTVS15 range is surface mount devices which eases manufacturing while removing the need for through-hole parts. For additional protection, the PTVS15 range of TVS protection diodes also has a lower clamping voltage when under surge, and the surge protection ratings have little variation over the entire operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.
