KYOCERA AVX FE Series Medium Power Film Capacitors are encased in self-extinguishing plastic cases filled with thermosetting resin that meets safety standards such as UL 94 V0 and NF F 16-101 I3F2. These capacitors adhere to international standards IEC 61071-1 and IEC 61071-2 for power electronic capacitors. The FE series medium power film capacitor design employs a specially treated metallized polypropylene dielectric that offers high dielectric strength, providing operational stability up to 100°C. These capacitors are RoHS compliant and suitable for roles in DC filtering and low reactive power applications.

I’ve never heard “dried-up” used in a positive way, whether it’s a body of water or the vending machine sandwich that only fills you with regret. Dried up aluminum electrolytic capacitors are worse, as they often fail catastrophically. AVX FE series power film capacitors are designed for DC filtering and don’t dry up. FE series capacitors combine a self-healing polypropylene dielectric and low loss film to deliver extremely long life and minimal heating.
The series includes capacitors rated from 550V to 1200V and for operation up to 100°C. They also offer lower ESR and higher surge voltage capability than aluminum electrolytics. FE series capacitors are available from 3.3µF to 75µF and in eight case sizes with three standard pitches.
