KYOCERA AVX 550-560 Ultra-Broadband Capacitors
KYOCERA AVX 550-560 Series Ultra-Broadband Capacitors (UBCs) are built using high-quality materials to ensure reliable and repeatable ultra-broadband performance. These capacitors feature low insertion loss, a flat frequency response, and high return loss characteristics. The 550-560 ultra-broadband capacitors operate within a temperature range from -55°C to +125°C and a voltage rating range from 4Vdc to 100Vdc. Typical applications include transimpedance amplifiers, Receive/Transmit Optical Sub-Assemblies (ROSA/TOSA), Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) systems, and broadband test equipment.

It takes a special engineer to work in optoelectronics, and they need equally special capacitors to make things work at the high data rates and high frequencies they deal with. Kyocera AVX 550 and 560 Series Ultra-Broadband Capacitors support frequencies from 7kHz to 110GHz or more with a flat frequency response, including ultra-low insertion loss and excellent return loss. These capacitors feature a rugged, single-piece ceramic construction for better performance and volumetric efficiency than competing two-piece capacitors, and they come in packages ranging from 01005 to 0402. Capacitance values are offered up to 220nF, and they’re available with an operating voltage range from 4Vdc to 100Vdc. Furthermore, with an operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C means that they can operate in most environments. All of these features give these capacitors the ability to be used in broadband microwave, test equipment, optoelectronics, and trans-impedance amplifiers.
