Amphenol FCI (ACS) AirMax VS Series Connectors
Amphenol FCi AirMax VS Series consists of backplane, midplane, coplanar, and orthogonal connectors designed for high-speed data transfer in electronic systems. The backplane and midplane connectors provide a shieldless open pin field design, allowing flexible signal and power routing in telecom, networking, and storage applications. The coplanar connectors enable direct board-to-board connections within the same plane, supporting modular system configurations.
The orthogonal connectors enable high-speed transmission by linking vertical and horizontal cards via a 90° header, supporting up to 20Gb/s. The AirMax VS connectors also include connectors that comply with the Storage Bridge Bay (SBB) specification, ensuring compatibility between storage controller cards and midplanes in drive enclosures. These connectors use an edge-coupling and air-dielectric design to support data rates up to 25Gbps while maintaining compatibility with legacy and future system architectures.
