Amphenol RF FAKRA Connectors
Amphenol RF FAKRA Connectors are designed to perform up to a 6GHz frequency range and meet the automotive industry's particular mechanical and environmental requirements. The FAKRA (female) jack connectors utilize a modified metal coaxial connector and a closed-entry interface with a protected outer contact, making the connector more robust than other connectors. These connectors are embedded within a plastic housing that features multiple color codes for easy identification and unique keying to prevent mismating. Amphenol RF also offers a variety of FAKRA connectors for PCB and antenna interfaces and mixed dual coax/power FAKRA connectors. These FAKRA connectors are available in numerous connector configurations such as straight and right angle for cable as well as edge-launch and PCB designs. Typical applications include satellite radio, Bluetooth, remote vehicle diagnostics, and infotainment systems.
