Abracon Standalone Real Time Clocks (RTC)
Standalone Real Time Clocks (RTC)
Abracon real time clocks can operate from a 32.768kHz reference. Systems requiring the lowest power (22nA timekeeping IDD consumption) and systems requiring excellent stability (±5ppm) benefit using RTCs with external or internal quartz crystals.
22nA RTC
Industry leading low current consumption (22nA) supports continuous time keeping over many years from very small coin cell batteries. Highly integrated RTC's have high level functions including power switchover, programmable alarms and trickle charger. These RTC's use external tuning fork crystals.
RTC with Crystal
Real time clocks with XTALs integrated in the package produce stable 32.768kHz output frequencies without the use of an external crystal. These highly integrated devices support I2C and SPI interfaces in packages as small as 3.2x1.5mm. Low as 22nA IDD consumption acheives power savings.
