Fort Worth, Texas – January 26, 2022 – TTI, Inc., a leading specialty distributor of electronic components, is now stocking the OPB820 family of Transmissive Optical Sensors from TT Electronics - Optek. This sensor is targeted for the medical and industrial applications, manufacturing automation, safety and security equipment.
The TT Electronics - Optek OPB820 device consists of an infrared emitting diode (LED, 890nm center wavelength) and a NPN silicon phototransistor mounted in a robust black plastic housing on opposite sides of an 0.080” (2.03mm) wide slot. Each device in this series has a 0.040” (1.02mm) wide aperture located in front of the infrared diode. Phototransistor switching occurs when an opaque object passes through the slot. These devices are offered with 0.275” (6.96mm) lead spacing for PC board mounting.
