Fort Worth, Texas – January 12, 2022 – TTI, Inc., a leading specialty distributor of electronic components, is now stocking the OPB100Z Series of Transmissive Optical Sensors from TT Electronics-Optek, featuring a matched sensor pair designed with snap-in mounting for ease of manufacturing. This sensor is targeted for industrial and ruggedized applications including robotics, machine and process automation and safety light curtains.
The OPB100Z Series consists of an infrared LED (OPB100-EZ) and phototransistor (OPB100-SZ) in separate plastic housings. This matched pair of components will trigger a signal when the infrared light beam is interrupted. The low-cost, snap-in design requires no screws or other mounting hardware for ease of installation, ideal for applications where the mounting locations are far apart and have limited access. The emitter and sensor are not apertured, which allows separation distances in excess of 36” (91.4cm) without concern for precise alignment. The front-side clip allows for easy mounting of the product to any 0.059” (1.50mm) thick material. This product has 24” (61cm) leads for ease of connectivity.
