Fort Worth, Texas – April 26, 2022 – TTI, Inc., a leading specialty distributor of electronic components, is now stocking the OPB829CZ family of Transmissive Optical Sensors from TT Electronics - Optek. This sensor is targeted for the medical, industrial and manufacturing automation applications.

The TT Electronics – Optek’s OPB829Z Sensor consists of an infrared emitting diode with a 890nm center wavelength and NPN silicon phototransistor, mounted on opposite sides of a 0.125-inch (3.18mm) wide slot in a low-cost black plastic housing. A variety of aperture sizes are offered for sensing accuracy. The OPB829Z wire version has 24-inch 26 AWG wire leads for remote mounting. Phototransistor switching occurs when an opaque object passes through the slot. The OPB829Z has 24-inch (61cm) 26 AWG wire leads for remote mounting and is well suited for non-contact sensing, process automation and equipment safety applications.
