AVX produces a full range of film dielectric components – from low power SMD solutions for the commercial and automotive industry, to medium and high-power film capacitors suited to all power electronic applications over a voltage range spanning 75V volts up to 100 kV. All AVX capacitors are available through TTI. The FHC1 & FHC2 series capacitors are AEC-Q qualified and have been specially designed to be used in conjunction with Hybrid & Electric vehicles IGBT modules.
The AVX FHC series provides a standard option for DC link capacitors used in DC filtering between rectifier and inverter in automotive applications. The series uses a dry-wound (non-oil-filled) segmented metallized polypropylene, specially treated to have a very high dielectric strength in operating conditions up to 115°C. Voltages range from 300VDC up to 1,400VDC with capacitance values ranging from 100μF – 1,500μF.
