TE Connectivity
Antenna Solutions Pitch Packet
TE Connectivity provides advanced antenna solutions for most wireless devices, with many combinations of features. The antenna designs accommodate many sets of frequency bands for operation on any network, in both regional and global markets. Included in the pitch pack:
- Laser Direct Structuring LDS Antennas
- Enables all antenna applications offered by TE. These 3-dimensional (3D) antennas are plated using industry-standard methods where the plating adheres to the plastic only where the plastic has been activated by the laser, thus creating a conductive pattern. Advantages include the ability to produce thin (0.15mm) traces, flexibility for pattern changes during products, and simple, fast, low cost tooling. LDS technology can also be used for more than antennas.
- External Antennas
- Available for a wide variety of cable and connector configurations. External antennas are less susceptible to internal metal/materials effects. Retrofitting is made easy due to external attachment. Designed to support Wi-Fi and cellular applications, while exhibiting excellent performance up to 6 GHz.
- Puck Antennas
- Offer omni-directional coverage and do not require ground clearance. Commonly used for GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for smaller (stamped) antennas. This type of antenna offers low cost, integrated contacts, high volume production dies, and rapid prototyping capability.
- PCB Antennas without Cable
- Compact size, durable material, no cable needed. Common for cellular, but can support all antenna applications offered by TE. Suitable for multi-band antennas, PCB antennas offer low cost tooling, flexibility for pattern changes during product, the shortest lead time for tool build, patented material and patters for optimal efficiency and performance.
- PPCCB Antennas with Cable
- Compact size, durable material, easier to feed antenna. The added cable allows for simplified retrofits. Common for cellular, but can support all antenna applications offered by TE. Suitable for multi-band antennas. PCB antennas offer low cost tooling, flexibility for pattern changes during production, shortest lead time for tool build, patented material and patterns for optimal efficiency and performance.
- Stamped Antennas
- These low profile antennas are great for high frequency applications like Wi-Fi, but can be used for all antenna applications offered by TE. This type of antenna offers the lowest cost, integrated contacts, high volume product dies and rapid prototyping capability.
