TE Connectivity AMP MCP LEAVYSEAL Connector Series

TE Connectivity LEAVYSEAL connectors have been especially developed to meet tough requirements of the truck industry. This fully sealed series combines the advantages of proven AMP MCP terminals with a robust design and easy mating of multi-position connectors.

It gives a choice of 7 groups, 15 to 120 positions with terminals of 3 different sizes.

The lever-slide mechanism reduces the force required to close the system. Due to high vibration resistance, perfect temperature behavior and the size, LEAVYSEAL connectors are the product of choice for major commercial vehicles ECU manufacturers.

When I saw TE Connectivity’s LEAVYSEAL [CA1] connectors, I thought we should get someone with that deep, gravelly voice you get in truck commercials to really convey just how tough and rugged these connectors are.  Instead, you’re stuck with me, but LEAVYSEAL more than makes up for it.  LEAVYSEAL connectors are designed for trucks, busses, construction equipment, and other vehicles in tough environments.  The connectors feature rectangular, thermoplastic housings for in-line, flange or PCB mounting in 7 sizes and with 15 to 120 positions.  These include 3 contact size options supporting up to 40 amps per contact, with mixed contact size configurations available.  LEAVYSEAL connectors include a lever for easy mating and an integrated secondary locking to secure the connection, providing reliable connectivity in harsh environments.  They’re also sealed to IP67, with backshells increasing the sealing rating to IP69K.  Connectors are available in various colors and with polarized keyings to prevent mismating and misidentification.
